The project was born from a desire to create an Electronic Program Guide (EPG) viewer that doesn't just function—but impresses. Inspired by the limitations of traditional EPG interfaces, BELGESELSEMO EPG VIEWER 3 aims to deliver a futuristic, responsive, and feature-rich experience optimized for all devices, especially mobile. The aesthetic takes cues from sci-fi UI, holographic dashboards, and high-contrast dark mode environments. 🧠 What I Learned

While building this project, I deepened my expertise in:

Advanced CSS Grid and Flexbox layout systems

Crafting fully responsive UIs with pixel-perfect behavior across all screen sizes

Using CSS custom properties (variables) for theme consistency and easy customization

Designing complex animation keyframes to enhance interactivity and mood

Creating a modal and popup system with smooth transitions and state-based visibility control

Accessibility and keyboard navigation techniques for better UX

🛠️ How It Was Built

The application was built entirely in HTML and CSS, with special focus on:

A powerful dark theme with accent gradients and blurred glassmorphism cards

Mobile-first design with adaptive layouts, even for popups and footers

Tab and filter systems to manage EPG sources, channels, and timeline views

An embedded search system with smart focus interactions

Dynamically highlighted current program cards, program timelines, and a “scroll-to-now” button

Fine-tuned custom scrollbars and smooth transitions throughout the interface

No JavaScript was required—this was a pure frontend implementation emphasizing CSS magic and structural clarity. 🚧 Challenges Faced

Several key challenges pushed the limits of HTML/CSS design:

Achieving high performance without JavaScript, especially for layout transitions and responsive scaling

Building a timeline-based grid view that is both readable and interactive at different screen widths

Creating modals and popups that feel native and intuitive across platforms

Maintaining accessibility while using heavy visual effects (blur, shadow, gradients)

Ensuring consistency across all view modes, including compact and full detail views
