Inspiration

The Beijing Central Axis was inscribed on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

What it does

Introduction to the Ancient Architectures along the Beijing Central Axis, a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Traveling from south to north along the Beijing Central Axis, users can browse 9 ancient architectures along this thoroughfare that runs through the heart of Beijing.

How we built it

Midjourney was used for image generation, and Kling AI was employed for the video's first and last frame functionality.

Challenges we ran into

Two key challenges were encountered: first, the support of AI image generation tools for traditional Chinese painting styles; second, the ability of AI video models' first-and-last-frame feature to handle stylized images.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We have achieved smooth animation effects, which vividly showcase this UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.

What we learned

We gained insights into the capabilities of the regional redrawing feature in supporting image editing and optimization.

What's next for Beijing Central Axis

We will collect user feedback and further enhance the project (or: the experience) in subsequent iterations.
