Inspiration

With the tremendous change in our lives, brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, we started seeing loved ones worrying over or even losing their jobs. Fellow CEOs had to let go valuable personnel, companies began to introduce 3-day-working weeks ,etc. Despite the size of Bulgaria, we are proud of how many world class professionals in different areas we have. So we decided to build their new workplace - an online platform which will give them the opportunities to grow and develop, while being safe with their loved ones.

What it does

BeezyPro is like a “beehive” - a fast-paced online services portal, granting users with free access to any service from the comfort of their own homes.Via connecting professionals who can offer any digital service, help or solution with the clients who need them, we ensure that we have our daily life almost back to normal. After each successful collaboration on the platform, the users will be presented with an opportunity to donate a portion of the amount to fighting COVID-19.

I know what you are thinking - there are many platforms out there that service this need. However, English is a prerequisite for them. We want to develop something local - a psychologist doesn’t have to speak English so that they can help me survive at home, for example. After expansion outside Bulgaria, we will still try to maintain the local value of our platform - each language and country will be onboarded so that it’s native to its users.

What have we done during the weekend

We formed our team, total of 8 ambitious Bulgarians - technical dev experts, UX designers, marketers and product/brand management executives. In 2 sleepless days we managed to release our website and build many major user functionalities. On top of all that, we got extremely valuable feedback and mentorship!

The solution’s inspact to the crisis and value after it

Via creating a digital platform, obviously we will support the local economy by connecting clients with service providers. Our immediate goal is to help in the battle against COVID-19. We do that by waiving entirely our platform fee and giving the chance to donate a % of the service to the users themselves. The global mindset is shifting towards working digitally more than ever and we are glad to discover a solution that will be much needed after the crisis as well - why do we need to drive cars and be a part of the pollution problem when we can stay at home, meet our psychologist and be part of the solution instead.

Long term results of the project

In the long term the platform will enhance the digital transition of the small, medium and individual business according to the European Union direction and policies regarding digital technology and transition. The project will increase the number of businesses and sectors accessible in a digital form, build sustainable and reliable relationships between clients and service providers.

How we built it

USP of our platform is that it’s a one stop shop - all processes happen there. From the search of service, professional and payment, through the smooth video call to get the job done, COVID-19 donation and respective rating. We are glad to be in Bulgaria, where the community is easily reached and onboarded, especially when there is a bigger cause behind. The technology behind the platform is .NET Core , Azure services and React, as well as mobile apps.

What's next for BeezyPro

We need to release the MVP this weekend so that registration can begin. As a marketplace, we are faced with the challenge to recruit both users and professionals from all walks of life, which needs relevant marketing and positioning. We are glad to be in Bulgaria, where the community is easily reached and onboarded, especially when there is a bigger cause behind. Once we have the critical user database, the video integrated and payments on point, we can go on with the full release and start to reshape the way our society works.
