Inspiration
In 2019 beeclick.org became a reality. It has since been three years with no progress on the beevolution and now it is time for a revolution. Enter, bee click tower defense.
What it does
Bee tower defense provides a fun and exciting way to click bees and defend against spiders! The clicker part of the game is extremely similar to the original bee click game, however, the tower defense is completely unique and the combination between the two is unparallel to anything seen before. Importunely I could not get super far with the clicker alone, but everything together works seamlessly regardless how much gameplay is available.
How we built it
Finally, it was deployed using Google Clouds virtual machine services (Compute Engine) and will be hosted there for the foreseeable future.
Challenges we ran into
The HTML5 Canvas system can be quite finicky with how it handles frame rates.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I managed to get a working tower defense game combined with the bee clicker, resulting in the ultimate user experience.
