Inspiration

We, as coders, can develop bad posture through constant leaning and slouching. We wanted to help desk workers and people who suffer from slouching around the world by creating an irritating sound to notify them.

What it does

Detects slouchiness of the user and promotes correct posture. This device can also detect when people sleep, which can help during a hackathon or long work shift.

How we built it

We have a raspberry pi that monitors the change in y and sends the data to a server. A DRAGONBOARD reads the data from a server and determines if the user is slouching or sleeping and notifies the user.

Challenges we ran into

Theres no documentation with the libraries we found and could not make them work with the DRAGONBOARD.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Pulling through and completing our first hackathon.

What we learned

Learned a lot of Linux shell, python libraries, sockets, and android app development.
