Bed and Breakfast

Inspiration

We wanted to use state of the art technology for a use case that hadn't been considered before, Bed&Breakfast.

What it does

It takes a picture of a spare room in your house and gives you a reasonable estimate for a price of a one night stay at that room.

How we built it

We started by figuring out how the API worked and once we had a reasonable understanding of its functionalities we started with the frontend development. Finally, we figured out how to communicate back-to-back between the frontend and backend by using Axios and Flask.

Challenges we ran into

Continuous and endless bugs that we encountered as a consequence of our lack of experience with these tools.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Making a functional webpage, connecting the backend with the frontend and managing to use restb.ai's API.

How HTTP requests work, how to use Flask and how to solve countless bugs.

What's next for Bed and Breakfast

Taking into account the location of the house, the available services (wifi, kitchen, kitchenware...) and other factors.
