💡 Inspiration & Problem Statement

The global cosmetics industry is flooded with counterfeit and expired products that cause severe skin issues and chemical burns. Everyday consumers and retailers waste hours manually verifying product codes, tracking batches, or cross-checking supplier registries. We wanted to build an autonomous agent that removes this repetitive manual chore, protecting both consumer health and retail business integrity in the background.

BeautyVerify is an intelligent, autonomous AI Agent engineered to handle cosmetics authenticity workflows end-to-end. Instead of forcing users to manually research product data, the agent runs in the background to analyze verification queues.

Key features include:

• Autonomous Risk Detection: Scans barcodes, images, and manual logs to immediately flag counterfeit or expired cosmetic batches.
• Product Status Tracking: Dynamically segments products into Authentic, Counterfeit, or Expired states.
• Verification Source Metrics: Monitors ingestion pipelines across Camera, Image uploads, and Manual entry.
• Admin Intelligence Dashboard: Provides compliance officers and retailers a unified operational view of total verifications and real-time fraud reports.

🛠️ How we built it

The project is built using a highly optimized stack designed for swift deployment:

• Agent Intelligence: Powered by custom orchestration routines aligned with the Strands Agents SDK to process continuous data streams without user intervention.
• Frontend Experience: Developed using React.js and styled with a sleek, dark-themed Tailwind CSS framework for crisp data presentation.
• Analytics Engine: Integrates interactive data visualizations (donut and bar charts) to clearly display status distribution and incoming verification trends.
