💡 Inspiration
The cosmetics and skincare market is booming, but so is the trade of dangerous counterfeit products. Many consumers unknowingly buy fake makeup that leads to severe skin infections and chemical burns. As a Data Analytics student, I wanted to use the power of AI to create a transparent, reliable, and accessible verification system. This inspired me to create BeautyVerify—a shield protecting everyday consumers from hazardous counterfeit cosmetics.
⚙️ How We Built It & AI Orchestration
Since I focus heavily on low-code tools and data flows rather than deep manual programming, I used Agent Orchestrator (AO) as my primary workspace to plan, test, and sequence this application.
- Planning: I structured the development cycle using the AO Kanban board to split the layout into Frontend, Scanning Logic, and Product Verification Engines.
- UI Design: Built a clean user dashboard focused on rapid camera deployment for quick scanning.
- The Data Core: Simulated secure verification datasets where a product's embedded identifier code must tightly match authorized manufacturing registries.
To mathematically score our product risk distribution profile across verified vendors, we utilized a basic normalized algorithmic weights distribution: $$Score = \sum_{i=1}^{n} (w_i \times x_i)$$ Where $w_i$ represents the verified batch weights and $x_i$ acts as the authenticity parameter.
🧠 What I Learned
Through this intense sprint, I learned how to effectively manage an end-to-end project lifecycle inside the Agent Orchestrator environment. I discovered that you do not need complex, traditional software architecture skills to bring an enterprise-grade AI system to life if you can manage and orchestrate specialized agents effectively.
🛑 Challenges Faced
The biggest bottleneck was configuring the real-time scanning workflow simulator under such a tight deadline. Managing asynchronous responses from simulated database endpoints caused slight delays initially. However, by leveraging AO's workflow reviews, I was able to optimize the code routing layout and clear the technical roadblocks just in time for submission!
