Inspiration

We were inspired by the lack of accessibility in the beauty industry for individuals with disabilities. Despite the increasing focus on inclusivity and diversity in many industries, the beauty industry has lagged behind in addressing the needs of individuals with disabilities. We saw a gap in the market and wanted to create a technology solution that would make the beauty industry more accessible for everyone.

What it does

BeautyEase is a platform that makes the beauty industry more accessible for individuals with disabilities. It offers a fully accessible website and in-store technology, personalized product recommendations, and a wide range of products from leading beauty brands. With BeautyEase, individuals with disabilities will have equal access to the beauty industry, breaking down the barriers that have long excluded them.

How we built it

We started by researching the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities in the beauty industry and the current solutions available. We spoke with individuals with disabilities, advocacy organizations, and experts in the field to understand the specific needs and requirements for an accessible beauty platform.

We then worked with a team of developers to build the technology behind BeautyEase, including the accessible website and in-store technology. We also partnered with leading beauty brands to offer their products through the platform, ensuring that a wide range of products were available to our customers.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges we faced was ensuring that the technology behind BeautyEase was fully accessible and met the needs of individuals with disabilities. We had to work closely with developers and individuals with disabilities to ensure that the platform was user-friendly and met their specific needs.

Another challenge was securing partnerships with leading beauty brands, as we needed to ensure that a wide range of products were available to our customers. This involved negotiations and agreements with brands to ensure that their products were available on the platform.
