User Journey

Inspiration

The main inspiration for creating this beauty platform is to provide a centralized platform for all customers with individualized, open, and sympathetic counseling as well as a smooth experience for those with disabilities. This enables the beauty industry to cater to the diverse population and their diverse needs.

What it does

Our platform addresses the lack of accessibility on the existing beauty platforms by creating an inclusive technology solution. The platform would provide a user experience for a wide range of users along with intuitive AI/ML technology.

How we built it

So our solution includes basically 2 main features:

Voice Assistant Model
AR Model
Beauty-Face Technology

Voice Assistant Model can be created by using the Speech recognition model and integrating it with the NLP model to help the system understand human language.

AR Model would basically be a Deep Learning Convolution Neural Network model which will work on the face recognition and the image processing part to apply and identify the makeup applied on different parts of the face.

We thought of a technological solution where users will scan their faces through a smartphone camera, we would create a 3D model, and users by touching their faces can see what shade of makeup is applied and at which part of their face(The output would be through a smartphone speaker or closed caption).

This would be really a game-changing and helpful solution for people with complete/partial blindness.

Challenges we ran into

The challenge for us was to find a solution that didn't exist in the market to bring in the innovation factor and combine the inclusive technology fundamentals with it.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We have created a complete user journey and ideated an innovative solution (Beauty Mask) by integrating the inclusive technology for our application: Beauty Genie.

What we learned

We learned how to integrate the theory of inclusive technology into our solution to ensure that our application caters to all people's needs, not just those with no disabilities.

What's next for Beauty-Genie

For the Beauty-Genie in the next phase after rolling out the v0 version of our application, we look forward to getting the user feedback and applying them as much as possible. Also, we would be looking forward to adding the multilingual model to ensure that language does not become a barrier for anyone.
