Inspiration

We wanted to have some fun but also we wanted to have something meaningfull, my girlfriend using AI a lot to help her with her skincare routine. But chat gets lost, info gets lost, some times you loose track of all the products you use. So her amazing idea was actually to fix all those problems.

What it does

AI-Powered Beauty Assistant

  • Personalized skincare recommendations based on your unique profile, routines, and feedback.
  • Acts as your virtual skincare specialist, available 24/7 for advice and guidance.

Smart Onboarding Quiz

  • Tailored quiz to help the AI understand your skin type, concerns (irritation, allergies), and preferences.
  • Enables more relevant and accurate advice.

Main Chat Interface

  • Central chat window for interacting with the AI.
  • Ask questions, receive insights, and get personalized skincare tips.

Profile and Personal Info Management

  • Edit your profile details, including name and password.
  • Store and update quiz results, daily routines, and product lists.

Product Tracking and Feedback

  • Maintain a list of skincare products used in your routines.
  • Leave feedback on products (e.g., irritation, satisfaction) to help the AI improve its suggestions.

Routine and Product Calendar

  • Integrated calendar to track product usage over time.
  • Easily monitor what works best for your skin and when.

Seamless Integrations

  • Authentication and database management via Supabase[1].
  • All integrations and backend handled by Bolt for reliability and speed.

Progressive Web App (PWA)

  • Installable as an app for a smooth, native-like user experience.

Rapid Prototyping with Bolt

  • Built in just two weekends using Bolt’s powerful development tools.
  • Fast iterations and a strong focus on user experience.

How we built it

We took 2 weekends we gathered ideas, we provided detailed prompt to Bolt.new and it started... Oh and so good in one weekend we had very good functional app, then we polished it over next weekend. There were some try and errors but ideally if you ask it providing a lot of details it gives pretty accurate results! Also Bolt.new is really good with design stuff, i'd never done it so fast!

Challenges we ran into

There were some hiccups but reading supabase documentation and AI API docs helped, so we were able to provide some info in prompts for Bolt.new and it managed to fix problems and make features.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

As a main idea of Beauty AI that is really personal to you and can keep long conversation, that we're pretty proud of, also it's our first hackathon, we proud of that too!

What we learned

That we can build fast prototypes and make it public really fast!

What's next for Beauty AI

It's definitely not the end, we'd like to continue work on it and add more features. Hair care? SURE! We can add more care routines more product providers, finally we can maybe event direct customer to actual payment pages of providers so getting new suggested products was super fast and efficient! So so many possibilities here.
