Inspiration

We noticed how frustrating and time-consuming it can be to come up with a catchy, relevant name for a new startup. Most name generators feel generic, out-of-touch, or lack personality. We wanted to create a tool that feels inspired—one that understands the user’s idea, captures the essence of their business, and generates names that are not just relevant, but also memorable, brandable, and visually expressive.

What it does

The Beautiful Startup Name Generator takes a short user description of their startup idea and uses intelligent text analysis to detect the business category and vibe. It then generates creative, brand-friendly name suggestions along with matching emojis for added personality. Each result is presented with smooth animations and sleek, professional styling to deliver a delightful user experience.

How we built it

I used a modern frontend framework to craft a clean and responsive UI with micro-interactions and animations. For the name generation logic, I combined keyword extraction, category mapping, and custom heuristics to suggest names that feel unique and on-brand. I also integrated emoji recommendations based on detected themes, and styled everything with a focus on UX, readability, and elegance.

Challenges we ran into

One key challenge was creating names that feel both creative and relevant, without sounding robotic or repetitive. Mapping vague user inputs to meaningful categories required fine-tuning. We also spent time ensuring that the user interface felt premium without slowing down performance.

Accomplishments that we're proud of
