Creative Process

I started with the idea of creating a pop song that feels both nostalgic and modern, something that could be enjoyed by a wide audience while still having its own identity. I wanted the track to combine the emotional energy of late-2000s pop with modern electronic and hip-hop elements.

I experimented with different prompts, melodies, vocal styles, and production ideas before settling on a direction built around a catchy piano motif, warm synths, punchy drums, and a strong sing-along chorus. I focused especially on making the chorus memorable, since I wanted the song to be something people could easily remember after hearing it once.

I used BeatMind to turn my creative ideas into the final musical concept. Rather than simply generating a random song, I iterated on the prompts and adjusted the style, instrumentation, vocals, and overall mood until the result matched the vision I had in mind.

Promotion

To promote the finished track, I published it on YouTube and Instagram, using short-form content to introduce the song and encourage people to listen to the full version. I focused on presenting the most catchy part of the song first, since a strong first impression is especially important for social media.

I also shared on Instagram to help reach a wider audience and direct listeners to the full song on YouTube. My main goal was to introduce the track to people outside the hackathon and see how they respond to the finished song.
