We thought it would be cool to make a portable monitoring device to sync biometric data with the cloud in real time. To this end we developed a prototype using the Spark Core microcontroller to wirelessly log heart rate data on Dropbox. We are particularly excited about the potential for our device to change the way we access and share our fitness data with, friends, family and maybe physicians. We think this device would be valuable for the typical consumer interested in taking charge of their own health.
