Beat Coronavirus!

We are students from Albany High School in the SF Bay Area. David Zhan's discord username is @David Zhan (@butter#2815) and Michael Liu's discord is @michael (@mi#4031).

We wanted to make a project addressing coronavirus because it is a historical event that is impacting us right now, and we felt that educating people about basic protective measures from coronavirus would have a positive impact on the world today. However, we also really wanted to make a game, because games are just more fun! We decided that the best solution was to address the Sustainability category by building a game that was both educational and fun! We ended up brainstorming up a game that simulates some common things that should be done at this time, like wearing a mask, buying the correct groceries, and washing your hands. We wanted it to teach or remind people of what they need to do, and make it kid-friendly so as to also teach the little ones some important rules. We were very happy with the result.

Our implementation is further explained in the slideshow and video. To give a quick summary, we used a jQuery event listener to listen for keyboard input to control the game. We used pixel art and the font Press Start 2P to give the game a retro style. We used your logo's colors in the same gradient (because it is so beautiful!).
