Inspiration
Inspired by games like Enter the Gungeon or Binding of Isaac as well as 2D platformers like Hollow Knight.
What it does
It's supposed to be a platformer/roguelike that procedurally generates rooms with enemies that you fight until you die (game over). Unfortunately, the we had trouble with the AI enemies and never got time to make an algorithm to procedurally generate rooms/
How we built it
Used Unity and c#.
Challenges we ran into
Unity has a very poor collaboration mechanisms. We had to post code to GitHub and download that and replace all the old files with the new files. It was a mess...
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Made a functioning game! Wahoo1
What we learned
How to animate sprites in Unity, how to use raycasting, how to make simple AI enemies that only do things when you're close enough to them.
What's next for Beach Vacation: The Game
This is probably the last you'll hear of this game. We simply don't have the time to really continue.
