Inspired by my visit to the Florida coast, this world is designed to be your ultimate spot for relaxation, laughter, and connection. Gather with friends, feel the ocean breeze, and chat as the sun slowly dips below the horizon. The fun doesn’t stop there...remix this beach into whatever adventure you imagine! Transform it into a tropical getaway with hammocks and tiki huts, a daring pirate’s cove filled with treasure, or a mysterious deserted island waiting to be explored. Whether you’re here to unwind or create, the shore is yours to shape.

What it does

Imagine a pirate ship just off the shore or your dream beach house. Beach break is a beach blank canvas where you can make it your own. Remix this paradise into your own world by adding assists, build from scratch and script whatever you like.

How we built it

I built Beach Break using GenAI tools on Meta Horizon Desktop and added Horizon assets. I used planes for the sand and water then textured them with GenAI prompts. Assets of rocks and a few palm trees to finish the space. I used a GenAI prompt to add the sounds of the ocean. This can be adjusted and turned off if desired.

Challenges we ran into

One challenge was occasionally forgetting to save the a texture or click on a texture before creating it. I was trying to use as little assets as possible in this world so the capacity would stay up for future builds and remixes.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm proud to build a remix world that is a beach where people can use their imaginations and create something new. I learned to use only a few assets to make this world remix ready.

What we learned

I learned that I can use GenAI to create beach sounds for this world using original sounds by entering a prompt.

What's next for Beach Break

Beach Break is going to be transformed into whatever a new creator's imagination takes them. I'm excited to see what is created with this beach template.
