Inspiration
Bangladesh has 64 districts with many beautiful destinations, but travel information is often scattered across different platforms. We wanted to build one simple platform where people can discover Bangladesh and plan their trips more easily.
What We Built
BdTravel is a smart travel platform covering all 64 districts of Bangladesh. Users can explore tourist destinations, discover travel information, estimate trip budgets, plan itineraries, save favourite places, write reviews, and track their journey with a digital Travel Passport.

How We Built It
We built the platform as a modern web application with a responsive frontend and Supabase-powered database. The database stores districts, tourist spots, user profiles, trips, reviews, photos, wishlist items and travel-passport progress.
Challenges
One of our biggest challenges was organizing travel information for all 64 districts in a structured way while keeping the platform simple and useful for travelers. We also focused on designing the experience so users can quickly discover destinations and plan a trip without needing multiple websites.
What We Learned
This project helped us learn how to structure real-world travel data, design a scalable database, connect a web application with Supabase, and build a user-focused travel experience.
Future Plans
We plan to add live weather, transport routes, hotel and restaurant search, real-time travel alerts, offline travel mode, AI-powered recommendations, and community-generated travel content.
