Inspiration

I am somebody who has lived a life being looked down by others due to my socioeconomic status, with my father working odd jobs to keep the family going while my brother and I continued to study. I believe that if given the opportunity, my father could have stepped out and become more successful but due to his status, he was not given the chance. I feel that many others are in a similar position and since I have been given the opportunity, I want to stop that.

What it does

Through gamifying this problem, I seek to make it more easy to digest and relatable and this easier to approach for the general public. It also serves to provide a means of interaction between differing socioeconomic classes.

How we built it

At the moment, due to a lack of budget, this project has been put on hold at the moment but we hope that by securing more funding from here, we can continue with this dream and project.

Challenges we ran into

I would say money and time were the greatest challenges that we faced as many of us also had jobs and families we had to attend to.

What we learned

Through experiences, we have learned to keep pushing so that we can accomplish our goals and not to give up on our chance at helping the general public

What's next for BDMS

Continuing development of the app and in its end phase, marketing.
