Inspiration

The theme of this project was celebration and the hacks goal was to be used by other people. This hack helps other people have fun celebrations, all in one place.

What it does

This hack simplifies trivia, truth or dare, a choosing game, and a turn managing system.

How I built it

The frontend single page application is hosted on Google Cloud Platform through Firebase, making sure this project has usage of Google Cloud. The backend REST database api is hosted off of heroku and accesses MongoDB, a no-sql document db.

Challenges we ran into

The hardest challenge was creating the questions and dares in their respective categories

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of my fast frontend loading times and user experience.

What we learned

I learned how to manage css box sizing.

What's next for Bday Games

Bday games are planned to remain, with regular updates and changes through the simple backend REST api.
