We were inspired by the fact there is no personal health assistant that is easy, practical, and readily available at your gadget(s). Even if there is one, the UI/UX may not be lively.

Then comes the Big Hero 6 movie, which is great. Everyone loves Baymax, one of the main characters, who also happens to serve as a health assistant. This is due to his friendly demeanor and physical appearance. For this reason, we decided to built the app version of Baymax.

Baymax: your favourite healthcare companion, but an app.

What it does

Baymax allows users to express about their illnesses and injuries. Then, users will be given the choice to rate their severity. Baymax will provide the appropriate response to the users.

How we built it

We built it in Android Studio by using Kotlin.

Challenges we faced

We struggled to find the appropriate time to meet and work together as each of us were located in 3 different time zones.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Despite each of us living in 3 corners of the world, we were able to deliver a polished and practial application in less than 24 hours.

What we learned

We were able to improve our coding and presentation skills. Due to the time differences, we also learned to manage time more efficiently. Most importantly, as long as there is cooperation and teamwork, anything is possible.

What's next for Baymax

To expand our reach, we plan to extend support for iOS and the Web. We plan to use AR technology for a better user experience. Moreover, we also aim to use machine learning in order to provide better outcome(s) and a more personal touch to the user.
