BAWAR is a non-profit organization whose goal is to establish a place where rape and incest survivors can receive counseling and advocacy, and to provide community education.
Currently, the only way for survivors to contact counselors at BAWAR is to either call a hotline number or visit a physical location. For some survivors, this is not the most comfortable form of communication, so we decided to develop a chatting application where survivors can still communicate with a counselor with minimal effort. In addition, since BAWAR's hotline number can also only communicate with one person at a time, having a chatting application will allow for multiple counselors to reach more users.
