Inspiration

University life is more than just attending classes and taking exams. We wanted to create a fun and relatable way to visualize the everyday journey of a BAU student—from early morning classes and labs to assignments, projects, friendships, and late-night study sessions. BAU-Life-Simulator was inspired by the real experiences of university students.

What it does

BAU-Life-Simulator provides an interactive simulation of a typical BAU student's day. Users can move through different stages of the day, including classes, lunch, lab work, project work, club activities, assignments, and sleep. It uses interactive elements and visual storytelling to make the experience engaging and relatable.

How we built it

We built the project as a lightweight web application using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. We focused on creating a simple, responsive, and visually appealing interface with interactive timeline elements, animations, and a student-energy concept. The project was developed and deployed as a web application using Vercel.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge was developing a complete and presentable prototype within a very limited time. We had to prioritize the most important features while keeping the interface visually attractive and interactive. We also had to ensure that the animations and interactions worked smoothly without requiring a complex backend.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of turning a simple concept about university life into an interactive experience within a short development period. The project successfully combines storytelling, interaction, and web technology to represent the everyday life of a BAU student in a relatable way.

What we learned

Through this project, we learned how to quickly transform an idea into a working web prototype, prioritize features under time constraints, improve user experience through visual design and interaction, and deploy a project online. We also learned the importance of keeping a hackathon project focused and achievable.

What's next for BAU-Life-Simulator

In the future, we plan to make the simulator more personalized and AI-powered. Possible additions include different student personalities and choices, academic performance tracking, stress and productivity analysis, personalized schedules, BAU campus locations, more realistic student scenarios, and an AI companion that reacts to the student's daily decisions.
