Inspiration

Batafy was inspired by the unending feeling of waste, material abuse and destructiveness in the world. Tens of millions of unwanted items are destroyed annually because there is no simple mediusm to just barter it with someone else for something needed. Batafy is a test experiment built just for this

What it does

Batafy is a decentralized community powered barter marketplace built on Solana that enables users to exchange physical & digital goods securely.

Leveraging the power of NFTS, Bata-Cards will enable holders navigate freely through the barter ecosystem, purchase special placed items in the Batafy Marketplace,

How we built it

We built this test run using the awesome metaplex contract, including the web utility.

Challenges we ran into

Where do I even start, coming from smart contract development on Ethereum it was challenging at the begining wrapping our head on Solana's stateless designe, but after spending a few weeks hacking we were able to come up with something we are a little bit proud of.

A fairly working demo, bunch of new found knowledge and love in the Solana ecosystem

What we learned

I love Rust so much and have gotten more reason to dive deep building in Solana. Good things take real time..... ☺️😊

What's next for Batafy
