Inspiration
Comparing a grocery basket across quick-commerce apps means opening three apps and searching the same items three times.
What it does
Basket Buddy compares prices across quick-commerce sites. It writes what it learns about each site to a strategy file and reads it back on the next run, so every site gets easier after the first visit. It is read-only by design: no checkout, no payments.
How I built it
A browser agent on WebCMD with Node, using Claude for the reasoning, and a per-site strategy file as its memory.
Challenges I ran into
BigBasket blocked the agent. Instead of fighting it, Basket Buddy logs the block and moves on.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
- 2nd place and a Rs 2,000 prize at the SLAB (Self-Learning Agent Browser) Hackathon, CMR Institute of Technology, Hyderabad (12 Sep 2026), Track 05, Self-Learning Loops
- Blinkit took 6 attempts cold. District, a site it had never touched, worked on the first try, live on stage
- Worked across Blinkit, Amazon, Zepto and District
- Built solo, in one day
