Inspiration

basil was inspired by my insatiable love for noodles and all things cool. I like learning random trivia and more about history and different cultures. The art was heavily inspired by Mini Metro (I love this game so much). Did I mention noodles? Although all of us have unique stories and experiences, I think there's a lot that ties us together. Honestly it was mostly the noodles.

How we built it

I created a new Next.js project, topped it with some Tailwind CSS and added sprinkles of pretty map stuff and icons I found online.

Challenges we ran into

I started watching a K-drama that I sorta liked and ended up binge watching it through the first two days of the hackathon.

What's next for basil

Adding more categories for cool stuff, improving interaction on mobile and possibly allowing user-provided data.
