Inspiration

This project was inspired by my friend (Nic) who was the only one to give me a suggestion for a helpful project to build.

What it does

This program lets you build, navigate, and change budgets on a month-by-month basis to help keep track of your finances. It literally lets you "build" a "basic" "budget".

How I built it

I was honestly unsure if I could finish a decent working version of it on time or not. A lot of fact checking, bug fixing, problem solving, design second-guessing, and one all nighter later, a decent working version of BasicBudgetBuilder now exists!

Challenges I ran into

Not knowing how to make java GUI interfaces do what I want. Running out of time. Not having a team to work with. Sleep Deprivation. Fundamental Design Failures.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I got a decent version working! It's not bad either! I might seriously use this to track my own finances for a while.

I might revise the program and add more features in the future. It depends on if people I know actually want to use it for anything.
