Inspiration
Nothing much really inspired me aside from the general topic of platformer games.
What it does
It's a simple playground with no end or levels where you can use the portals to teleport around. It was a bit of a rush since I spent a lot of my time doing the puzzle, unaware it was solved early.
How we built it
I built my game using Python on the VSC software.
Challenges we ran into
I ran into a lot of problems towards the end of making my game, but luckily I found the root cause and it's fixed up for presentation.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I'm not that proud of this game since it was very rushed, but I'm glad that I was able to make the portals work and work well.
What we learned
I have probably learnt not to spend too much time on a puzzle. It wasted a lot of my creation time and I only had a couple hours left (excluding sleep hours) to make this.
What's next for Basic Portal Playground
There probably isn't much next for this game, I don't really plan to work on it anymore, although it definitely gave me a new look on the topic of portals in platformer games.
