Basic Blackjack

Inspiration

I went to Las Vegas right before the pandemic started and I guess that stuck in my mind for when I was thinking of a project idea.

What it does

This code allows the user to play a simulated version of blackjack against a simulated dealer. It also incorporates a dynamic betting system.

How we built it

I used the java coding platform "jGrasp"

Challenges we ran into

Getting the betting system to work properly was frustrating but I think I've got everything working smoothly now.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This is my first Hackathon so I'm proud I managed to do it.

What we learned

I learned how to make a dynamic project like this. I also learned the meaning of some error messages that came up as I was working on it.

What's next for Basic Blackjack

I'm not sure! Maybe I could figure out a way to allow multiple players to play at the same "table". Would be difficult but not impossible.
