Inspiration
I've seen around a lot of problems with basements that are in bad condition, not cleaned for years, not ventilated, basically nothing being done to it. That brings issues not just of a "smelly" type, those dangerous as well as it can mess with the construction quality.
What it does
This is a small prototype that simulates how a bigger version and proper one could help people keep their houses safe and in proper state for decades to come.
How we built it
Few simple api routes and "dashboard" written in preact with deno as a replacement for node.
Challenges we ran into
It was my first time using Deno so multiple, it works a bit differently then node thus multiple times I had issues with even finding any details about errors and issues.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Fighting with sleep I somehow built something even though I somehow forgot a part of hardware.
What we learned
Deno and fresh framework! Pretty cool stuff. I also learned to double check not only the clothes etc. but also hardware stuff.
What's next for BasementAir
Hopefully a bright future and proper product.
