Inspiration:

Baseline started with my own mistakes in my relationship. I hurt someone I cared about, and I needed to understand my patterns, take responsibility, and change how I showed up.

I wanted a tool to help me reflect honestly and follow through on that work. Rebuilding trust takes consistent action over time, and Baseline grew out of my need to put that into practice.

“Read Yourself” is an invitation to look inward, recognize the patterns that affect the people you love, and turn that awareness into meaningful change.

What it does: Baseline reads facial, body movements, and voice analysis to determine clusters of moments where a person becomes decisively different from how them normally act when speaking. This can identify deception, heavy cognitive load, or a variety of other physiological responses when speaking.

How we built it: lot of coffee, leveraging how to code and leveraging AI to help fix my beginner coding experience

Challenges we ran into: Multiple code bugs, paywall issues with the app, and getting the UI to be institutive and engaging to make people want and able to use the program successfully.

Accomplishments that we're proud of: Officially having an app on the store and completing something I never thought I'd be able to do.

What we learned: Just about everything about programing and coding... This is my first software build project.

What's next for Baseline: We are developing a baseline Defense application to aid military and law enforcement in identifying areas to dig deeper into during questioning and interrogations.
