What Inspired Us

Most people build startups like influencers.
We built BasedSigma for assassins.

We were tired of bloated SaaS, recycled “no-code” templates, and AI agents that sound more like chatty interns than strategic partners. BasedSigma was born out of frustration—a rejection of performative building in favor of quiet execution.

We imagined the founder in the shadows:
Noise-canceling headphones on.
Hoodie up. Browser in dark mode.
A curated playlist pulsing in the background.
Not pitching. Not posting. Just building.

Our founding insight: solo entrepreneurs don’t need another community; they need a focused toolbox that guides every step—powered by one powerful platform. BasedSigma is for them.

How We Built It

Frontend & Flow

Built entirely with Bolt.new, optimizing for rapid UI deployment and live testing.
Custom dark-mode interface with chrome highlights, neon toggles, and matrix terminal-inspired structure.
Mobile-ready, low-bandwidth optimized.
Scrollable layout with a persistent chatbot that drives user progression across modules.

Backend + Data Architecture

Supabase handles auth, user sessions, stateful data flow, and modular data logs.
Tables include user_profiles, branding, legal_docs, marketing, and revenue.
Alias mode and stealth toggles allow anonymous startup building.
All AI outputs and user flow states are saved per session and rendered with export options.

The Chatbot-as-Console Paradigm

Our core innovation is the chatbot interface that becomes the startup launcher:

Users initiate via chat: “Let’s build.”
The bot dynamically routes them through:
- Branding
- Legal setup
- Marketing copy
- Monetization
- Final downloads (PDFs and ZIP kits)
Toggles and context switches allow full non-linear movement. No enforced funnels.

Functionality: A single LLM handles:
Brand ideation (names, taglines, domain suggestions)
Legal structure drafting (business type, alias, jurisdiction)

Prompt Modules: Dynamically composed and state-aware

Powered solely by Mistral Small 3.1.
No GPT, no Claude, no Frankenstein agent stack.
Every module—branding, legal, marketing, monetization—runs off one model with modular prompt blocks.
Each AI block includes:
- Prompt visibility
- Response rationale
- Regenerate toggle
Results are exported directly into launch kits with full transparency.

PDF & Launch Kit Generation

html2pdf.js handles all document creation:

- Branding summaries
- Pricing strategies

The BasedSigma Playlist: Music-as-Mindset

We embedded a curated BasedSigma Build Mode Playlist via Spotify and Youtube.
These aren’t lo-fi beats. This is tempo for tactical momentum.
The playlist is as deliberate as the code—it sets the tone for founders to execute, not daydream.

Challenges We Faced

Prompt Overload on a Single Model
Making one Mistral instance perform the work of multiple agents with distinct tones (e.g. legal language vs ad copy) required tight segmentation and smart chaining.
Dynamic Chat Context Switching
The chatbot had to feel like a control panel, not a friend. Engineering modular transitions between branding, legal, and marketing flows in one conversational state required deep conditional logic.
Real-time PDF Compression
Ensuring mobile-responsive, accurate PDF generation across browser types—without relying on backend infrastructure—required iterative formatting and user testing.
Minimalism at Scale
Avoiding SaaS overload meant refining every UI element to be essential. No spinners. No likes. No overlays. Just progress.
