Inspiration

Garbage Trucks, since they get rid of all normal waste from homes. I just decided to make it for electronic waste.

What it does

Allow user to be able to schedule pickups of easy to handle electronic items that are no longer functional anymore.

How we built it

I built this by using bolt.new for the most part to set up the app, also did some good old hand coding myself to try to make it work the way I wanted it to instead of having the bolt ai do all the work.

Challenges we ran into

Since I never used bolt, have trouble being on camera speaking, and signed up for the competition last minute because I was scarred of embarrassing myself while doing this solo was a lot to deal with on the brain. As well as the fact that I was trying to do the startup challenge and that was going to well.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

That I was able to get through it all and complete the app, it's not perfect or anywhere close to it but I believe the idea can go far in the future.

What we learned

Supabase is way more challenging than I thought especially with no one to turn to for help. As well as the fact that I'd have to potentially find more people in the future to help me make this idea the best it could be.

What's next for Barrel Of Batteries

Hopefully someone believes in it other than me cause it could potentially give millions jobs and saving the environment from E-Waste.
