Inspiration

Throughout the development of our project, we sought to increase financial equality by providing financial advice to our users.

What it does

Our portfolio management software receives user inputs regarding their investments and how much money they allocated towards each category. Based on the amount inputted in each category, our software decides whether the user portfolio is balanced. If it is not, our software advises the user to diversify their portfolio in order to ensure their money is being allocated properly.

How we built it

We utilized three languages including HTML, CSS, and Javascript as well as using VSCode and git.

Challenges we ran into

As a team, we had minimal experience regarding the languages and IDE used. We also ran into issues converting between different hardware devices; however, we were able to persevere through good communicate and research abilities and create a project we're proud of.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We implemented a myriad of CSS design features, creating a unique software that advises on user finances. We pushed through many different challenges yet still were able to commit to our project and learn things we have never experienced before.

What we learned

Through this experience, we learned a multitude of languages. We were introduced to new topics in computer science that were foreign to us previously, but learned with enthusiasm.

What's next for BARK Finances

BARK Finances intends to continue to develop future projects and implementing more sophisticated software in order to ensure the best user experience. Each team member plans to develop and improve upon their own skills while constantly learning new ideas and topics
