  Banshee

Inspiration Banshee was inspired by a musician who complained about the royalties on Spotify. He expressed the need for an alternative to Spotify that connects artists directly with their fans and gives independent artists more freedom.

What it does - Banshee allows music to airdrop tickets to their fans. The tickets can be live events both in-person and online, rewards, or subscriptions.

How we built it - The smart contracts are deployed on Moonbase Alpha testnet. Livepeer's daydream AI tool is used for artists who would like to record a live sample for fans. The Audius API is integrated to allow artists with an Audius account to connect their profiles to their tickets.

Challenges we ran into- The Audius API was difficult to integrate into the platform. Also, time was an issue as well.

Accomplishments that we're proud of- Integrating the Livepeer AI tool and deploying the contract on Moonbase alpha

What we learned- I learned about the Polkadot SDK. I thought about creating a parachain, but realized that it would be better to make this a DAPP.

What's next for Banshee Music- I would like to launch Banshee within the next month with artists to use it.
