Inspiration
We were inspired by the Bank of America Mobile banking app, but we wanted it to be more simple for those who have less access to financial institutions.
What it does
It is a banking app where you can deposit, withdraw, and overall make transactions. But the security is the highlight of the app, with our own custom Random Forest Machine learning based fraud detector protecting our customers from financial damages, ramped up security from several different tokens. With our app, we make sure those who trust us will not be victims of cyber attack.
How we built it
It is a full stack application based on react native and node.js, with postgres being the database to hold all of the user data, along with implementation of flask and python for the fraud detector.
Challenges we ran into
Our frontend stopped working halfway through the competition, and we are able to upload what it could have been. For us it was a new experience with these full stack technologies, but the satisfaction of solving problems made this so much more special.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are most proud of the fraud detector, our very own peace of personal security to protect our customers.
What we learned
We learned how to create an app with React Native, train our own database to teach the system to be extra vigilant with the customer's finances.
