Inspiration

I found some very nice music on bandcamp and didn't bother searching for existing downloaders

What it does

Using libcurl, it gets the html of the bandcamp site and searches for the url of the soundtrack. The urls are highly illegible, so my method of searching for <ol id="music-grid"> is also highly illegible.

How we built it

I wanted to get more exposure to C (i love emmory mangemetn!) so I decided to use libcurl in C.

Challenges we ran into

It was difficult to understand the available functions in libcurl, especially with the large amount of controls it gives over the connection. Fortunately, there were sane examples in the man pages which I copied.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I managed to break down my high level understanding of networking and made sense of the weird function signatures in libcurl

What we learned

Sometimes breaking down the abstraction layer gives you no benefits It is important to patiently read documentation
