Inspiration

We got this idea from our daily life in a small village of Uttar Pradesh, India. Here in our village if there is any issue regarding the roads, electricity or something, then no one cares about it. As today everyone have access to internet so we wanted to make them aware and raise their problem and share it with concerned authorities.

What it does

Ballot provides a platform to raise your local issues and inform it to the concerned authorities and discuss the potential solutions for the issue.

How we built it

We have used MERN stack to build this webapp, the idea of this app was proposed by Suraj and designed by Aditya and programmed by Abhay

Challenges we ran into

The challenge is the authorities may refuse to use this app because they just want to run away from local issue.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We have created this whole web app in just 2 days as this is our very first hackathon submission so we are very proud about it.

What we learned

We learned that how we can use our web dev skills to solve real problem faced by the peoples.

What's next for Ballot - Voice of Locals

Next we are going to add more features like notifying to authorities about all the issues and new issues added and we will improve UI and approach senior officials to regulate on a local area then we will expand it.
