Inspiration

I always wanted to create a game that is addictive for anyone who plays. In this AI era, it has become possible to build projects without having to master every single underlying framework. Leveraging the power of AI, I jumped right in to develop a native iOS game using SpriteKit framework—and that is how Ball Jump Fest was born.

What it does

Players tilt their device to guide the ball upward onto bars that continuously appear from the top. They can tap to jump or enable auto-jump mode.

How I built it

I built the game using SpriteKit, while components like the home screen and shop were developed using UIKit. I integrated RevenueCat to handle in-app purchases for custom themes.

Challenges I ran into

Finding quality design assets was a major hurdle, as engaging visuals are crucial for a great player experience. I leveraged AI design tools to generate beautiful, cohesive assets for the game.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Following the launch of my personal finance app, I successfully branched into game development and launched my first native iOS game built with Apple's SpriteKit framework.

What I learned

I streamlined my development workflow, significantly improving my ability to take a product from initial concept to full release in a short timeframe.

What's next for Ball Jump Fest

I plan to improve monetisation by integrating additional ad networks and expanding the selection of game themes.
