Inspiration
I got inspired because I never have enough time to play badminton and I like the sport so I decided to make this to help me study strategy without having to do a lot of work or having to commit a lot of fo time in the FUTURE. also since badminton is not a popular sport in the proud country of USA there are not a lot of badminton games so this is kinda a way to kill three birds with one rock.
What it does
you can play against the computer and you move around the court to try to hit the bird back and forth. For those that want to use it as a tool, they can control how good their opponents are and which shots they are good at. This can all be used to simulate the actual game.
How I built it
I built it though dragging blocks around the screen for around 12 hours. Then I would play the game to debug it.
Challenges I ran into
snap had a lot of computer science terminology I did not understand. also, the ways you represent things in math were different than how you would on the computer.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I followed through with my goal and the stuff sorta actually works.
What I learned
I relearned how to code in a snap I learned how to better problem solve.
What's next for badminton simulator
Of course, the game is not perfect. I need to work on the aesthetics and making sure it runs more smoothly. I want to try to get the players to be able to guide on the court rather than moving in a grid.
