Inspiration
After picking our track, we decided to do this because we have seen that people constantly mismanage important information, or putting it into multiple apps or websites, and are unable to get them on the spot.
What it does
Backpack is able to put all your information in one place, easily allowing you to understand what important information you have, what you still need, and what next steps you can do. Furthermore, you can download your information so you don't need it when you don't have internet access.
How we built it
We brainstormed our idea, used Claude Code to generate the HTML and frontend, while we understood and fixed the backend. We also made our own form on jotform to show how inefficent current systems are, and how much information you have to manually paste, and how how much more efficient backpack is. We also used lovable to copy the CalFresh form for an example.
Challenges we ran into
We tried to create a QR code to get all the information, but we didn't know how to actually generate a QR code.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We understood how the backend worked, we successfully connected the backend and frontend, and we learned how they interact with each other.
What we learned
We learned that we needed to work more on HTML and frontend, and get more experienced at make a website with vercel.
What's next for Backpack
We are going to try to create a QR code for this, and use generative AI to make the summary.
