Inspiration

I love playing guitar and sometimes, I will use backing tracks while soloing. Usually backing tracks are prerecorded so I wanted to make a website that could generate custom backing tracks.

What it does

You enter a time signature, tempo, and 4 chords, and it creates a custom backing track with chords and drums.

How I built it

I made the application in tone js in Javascript and coded the website with HTML.

Challenges I ran into

I had to learn about synthesizers to make kick and snare sounds from preexisting synths.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

It can play any four chords in any order.

What I learned

I learned how to use tone js.

What's next for Backing Track Simulator

I will add more features.
