Inspiration

Small businesses often have quality products but struggle to create engaging marketing content consistently. Hiring marketers or designers is expensive, and creating social media campaigns manually takes valuable time. We wanted to build an AI assistant that enables any business to generate professional marketing campaigns using the media they already have.

What it does

BackGen AI is an AI-powered marketing assistant that turns uploaded product photos and videos into structured marketing campaigns.

Users simply:

Upload product images or videos Describe their business Let AI generate: Social media captions Marketing copy Call-to-actions Hashtags Campaign ideas Organized content plans

All generated assets are securely stored using Backblaze B2, making them easy to access and reuse.

We built BackGen AI using:

OpenAI generates personalized marketing content, Genblaze orchestrates the AI workflow, and Backblaze B2 stores uploaded media and generated marketing assets.

Challenges we ran into

Designing an intuitive AI workflow for business owners. Structuring AI output into complete campaigns instead of isolated captions. Integrating reliable cloud storage into the content generation pipeline. Balancing AI flexibility with consistent, high-quality marketing outputs.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Built an end-to-end AI marketing platform. Successfully integrated AI with cloud-based media storage. Created structured marketing campaigns instead of simple text generation. Designed a user-friendly experience requiring minimal technical knowledge.

What we learned

Building BackGen AI taught us how to combine AI generation, cloud storage, and modern web technologies into a practical business solution. We also learned the importance of designing AI products around real user workflows rather than simply adding AI features.
