Inspiration

Creating high-quality marketing content is one of the biggest challenges for businesses, startups, and creators. Most teams already have product photos and videos but struggle to turn them into engaging campaigns. We built BackGen AI to simplify this process by combining AI-powered content generation with reliable cloud storage, allowing users to transform existing media into structured marketing campaigns in minutes.

What it does

BackGen AI is an AI-powered marketing workspace that converts uploaded business images and videos into structured marketing campaigns.

Users upload their brand assets, describe their business, target audience, and goals through a conversational interface, and the AI generates organized campaigns containing captions, hashtags, call-to-actions, campaign ideas, and AI-enhanced media. Generated assets are securely stored in Backblaze B2, making them easy to access, manage, and download later.

How we built it

We built BackGen AI using Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS to create a modern. We integrated Backblaze B2 Cloud Storage to securely store uploaded media and generated assets, while Genblaze orchestrates the AI workflow by connecting to generative AI providers for content creation. Authentication allows users to unlock, save, and manage their generated campaigns.

Challenges we ran into

One of our biggest challenges was designing a seamless workflow that combines media uploads, AI generation, cloud storage, and authentication without overwhelming the user. We also focused on structuring AI outputs into reusable marketing campaigns instead of producing isolated pieces of content.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of creating an application that demonstrates a complete AI media pipeline—from uploading assets, generating structured marketing content, securely storing outputs in Backblaze B2, and allowing users to access their content through a clean and intuitive interface. The project showcases how AI can simplify marketing workflows while remaining scalable for real-world use.

What we learned

Building BackGen AI strengthened our understanding of AI workflow orchestration, cloud object storage, prompt engineering, and designing user experiences around generative AI. We also learned the importance of building production-ready pipelines rather than standalone AI demos.

What's next for BackGen AI

We plan to expand BackGen AI into a full AI marketing platform with automatic social media publishing, AI-generated videos and voiceovers, campaign analytics, team collaboration, multilingual content generation, brand asset management, and integrations with popular marketing, e-commerce, and social media platforms.
