Inspiration

Our own experiences with low quality learning management tools inspired us to innovate and make a student-oriented tool.

What it does

Interfaces with a student's canvas content. Generates personalized educational content (utilizes active recall and Socratic questioning). Hosts a tutor chatbot that has direct access to Canvas course information.

How we built it

Figma, React, Node/Express, MySQL, Sequelize, OpenAI API, Canvas API.

What's next for Back to the Books

Implement a notification system. LLM fine tuning. More dynamic content (i.e., jeopardy style mini games). Cross platform compatability.
