Inspiration

People in rural and underserved communities may live far from doctors or struggle to access regular care. B.R.I.A.N. helps bridge that distance.

What it does

B.R.I.A.N. connects patients with doctors, prescriptions, medication reminders, adherence tracking, and trusted AI health guidance.

How we built it

We used React Native, Expo, TypeScript, Node.js, Express, Socket.IO, and a shared backend with real-time communication.

Challenges we ran into

We had to make the AI useful while keeping medical advice safe, reliable, and clear about its limitations. Also we wanted to add a generated call but it is a constant increasing cost that we can't afford.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We built a working patient-doctor platform that combines communication, medication management, and health guidance in a compact web application.

What we learned

Healthcare apps require trust, accessibility, safety, and careful boundaries between information and professional care.

What's next for B.R.I.A.N.

• Phone application along the website.
• Utilize phone capabilities like notifications, calendar and alarms.
• Video calls with the AI agent.
