Inspiration
We wanted an information hub for theater set tech knowledge, and a way to easily calculate and record the type and amount of wood we need for set pieces all in one place.
What it does
What doesn't it do? You start off at a webpage, and can easily be directed to either our B.L.O.S.H. interface or our learning Toolbox. B.L.O.S.H. stands for "Blueprint Lookup and Online Shopping for Home Depot." Right now, we have a handy dandy purchase list function that lets you input your type of wood, the length you need, and the quantity of wood, gives you a list, and then divides it into the increments of wood you must buy and how you must cut it.
How we built it
5 Sunkists, a Diet Coke, and a Sprite.
Challenges we ran into
The Home Depot was not available publicly, and we faced challenges in learning new methods and computer languages.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The look and the purchase list function!
What we learned
Web development in ever aspect of the word.
What's next for B.L.O.S.H.
We hope to be able to implement a price function and spice up the look, as well as add in the blueprint lookup database, and expand the types of wood we can put into the function.
