Most companies currently use Applicant Tracking System to screen resumes. But the cool thing about this resume screener is we get to build it on our own. There's a sense of accomplishment and pride in that.

The solution uses Azure Form Recognizer (OCR) to convert PDF to CSV, then utilizes a NLTK tokenization, stemmer and lemmatizer to process words. Linear regression and SVM model was proposed to be implemented and solution planned to be deployed on Microsoft PowerApps. Layman terms, it basically screens applicant's resume based on key words extracted from job description and ranks them.

Project was built mainly using Azure AI Applied solutions (Cognitive services, Language Key Phrase Extraction and Machine Learning Studio).
