Inspiration

The healthcare landscape is changing rapidly, but most of the groundbreaking ideas never come to life for lack of mentors, resources and funding. Realizing the absence of such a model, we felt the urge to launch the AYUSH Startup Portal that bridges the gap between biotech and medtech innovators with the ambience of incubators, accelerators and investors. We aim to enable future entrepreneurs in traditional and modern healthcare by providing them with a systematic ecosystem to help complex ideas and visionary ideas come to life.

What it does

The AYUSH Startup Portal has been set up to serve as a bridge between entrepreneurs who are starting their own businesses in new technology and biology fields.The platform allows:

  • Entrepreneurs to show off their ideas and get tailored advice
  • Incubators and accelerators that find and nurture promising start ups
  • Investors to back health care and life science breakthroughs where others have failed
  • A smooth registration and matching process to connect the right people.

How we built it

We developed the AYUSH Startup Portal using: Frontend: React.js for a responsive and user-friendly interface. Backend: Node.js with Express for robust API development. Database: MongoDB for scalable and efficient data management. AI Matching Algorithm: Python-based ML model to suggest the best incubators, accelerators, and investors for each startup. Authentication & Security: Firebase authentication and industry-standard encryption techniques.

Challenges we ran into

  • Designing an intuitive UI that caters to both startups and investors.
  • Ensuring data privacy while maintaining seamless collaboration.
  • Building an efficient matchmaking algorithm for pairing startups with the right resources.
  • Integrating diverse medtech and biotech domains into a single structured platform.
