Inspiration I participated in the Forge Quest Hackathon to learn and explore Atlassian Forge — a powerful platform for building cloud apps. My goal was to get hands-on experience with Forge and dive into its core functionalities like bridge, storage, and functions.
What it does Simple Hello World app that is present on the Confluence space. It fetches the users account ID from the context and Space ID and displays it on the confluence page.
How we built it Build using Forge CLI, javascript, react following the documentation.
Challenges we ran into Honestly, I didn’t face any major challenges — the documentation was well-written, detailed, and easy to follow, which made the development experience smooth.
Accomplishments that we're proud of Successfully build and deployed the app.
What we learned During the process, I learned how to:
Make API calls within a Forge app Work with manifest.yml files to define app modules Use resolvers to connect the frontend and backend Build UIs using the Forge UI kit It gave me a solid understanding of how a Forge app is structured and how different components interact.
What's next for Ayush's Forge Quest Build and try building more complex apps using forge storage and functions capabilities.
